The Eighth Annual Mascot Bowl, hosted by Lehi High School Sports Marketing.

(Lehi, Utah September 3, 2011) - On Monday September 26, 2011, Lehi High School will host the Eighth Annual Mascot Bowl, presented by Lehi High School Sports Marketing and Energy Solutions.

This event is designed to raise money for the “Firemen and Friends for Kids” and “Bear Hugs for Kids” charity, established to offer underprivileged children the opportunity to shop for presents at Christmas time. This event has been a huge success in the past and promises to be even better this year, offering plenty of fun entertainment and activities for the entire family.

The Lehi Little League football team will be taking on an All-Star Mascot team. Celebrity quarterbacks for the Mascot team will be Aaron Boone from the Utah Blaze and Doug Osmond. This years celebrity coaches are Jeff Hornacek from the Utah Jazz, Frank Layden and Chris Wingert from MLS REAL!

The mascot team features a host of our favorite characters from professional and collegiate teams, including:

  • Lehi Mascot Bowl VIII - 2011 "Bear" - Utah Jazz (NBA)
  • "Grizbee" - Utah Grizzlies
  • "Swoop - University of Utah
  • "Cosmo" - Brigham Young University
  • "Rocky" - Rocky Mountain Raceway

  • "Leonardo" - SLC Real
  • "Torch" - Utah Blaze
  • "Bumble" - Salt Lake Bees
  • "Miles" - Denver Broncos (NFL)
  • "Gorilla" - Phoenix Suns (NBA)
  • "Boomer" - Indiana Pacers (NBA)
  • "Blaze" - Portland Trailblazers (NBA)
  • "Crunch" - Minnesota Timberwolves (NBA)
  • "Hooper" - Detroit Pistons (NBA)
  • "Clutch" - Houston Rockets (NBA)

In addition to the game, activities will include photo and autograph opportunities with the mascots, celebrity coaches, and quarterbacks. Entertainment will feature The Charley Jenkins Band along with Recycled Percussion, a premier Las Vegas act. Also on hand will be the Lehi High Cheer and Drill teams and The Green Man Group Drumline. There will be food, prizes, giveaways, contests, fireworks, and many different fun activities for every member of the family.

Festivities will begin at 5:30 p.m. with an autograph session with mascots and celebrities. Fireworks will cap off the evening’s activities. Tickets are $3 each, (children two and under are free,) and can be purchased in advance at the Lehi High School Financial office, Scrooge and Marley’s in Lehi, or at the gate the night of the event. Lehi High School is located at 180 North 500 East in Lehi, just west of the freeway.
